47 (Or How Romney Lords It over Inferior Fools with Euclidean I-Ching)

There's a whole lot of buzz surrounding the Mormon-Freemason (for which, see Hoffman), anti-populist, anti-Iranian, and Zionist shill (cf., e.g. here) Mitt "Romney and his 47% remark...".

But, aside from Romney's Plutocratic blathering, the number 47 itself is part of an interesting symbol-complex, about which I will herein be occupied.

Perhaps we may begin by noting that, treated as addends, the sum of "4" and "7" is "11." Now the number "11" has occupied a conspicuous place in the news over the last week. Of course, this year was the 11th anniversary of 9/11. And there have been some nasty goings on in the Middle East. Some of this has been excavated both by Loren Coleman and by VISUP here and here.

"11" is also prominent in the Apollo 11 moon rite, which I mentioned here and here, and which Loren Coleman covered here.

Furthermore, as Jim Brandon reminded me, the number 11 invokes the sex magic rituals used in the highest degree of the occult Ordo Templi Orientis, see here.

Again, as Coleman has previously noted, around the Summer Olympics hoopla, "...Romney turned himself, by making several gaffs, into a clown, a court jester, and, yes, a joker". There is a Kabbalistic connection to "The Fool" symbol, via the number 47, as reckoned in Gematria: The word [LamedYodVauAleph] means: "wry, perverse; foolish; a fool; wicked; godless." The Fool symbolism has been pervasive this Summer, beginning (at least) with the Aurora shooting. See here and here. Interestingly, other words Kabbalistically "calculated" to signify 47, tie in with the Armstrong-Apollo moon business, and the Aurora Rising events. (Viz., [DaletMemGimel]: "to cut off; divide; measure; bind together; be strong, valiant; a dividing; ell or cubit; mighty men, warriors"; and [HayMemBet]: "an elevation, height, sacred or altar-height, shrines or chapels built on eminences; strong-holds; fastness; grave-mound, sepulcre." There are also a number of connections between the god Saturn and the religion of Judaism. See, for example, Eric Zafran, "Saturn and the Jews," Journal of the Warburg and Courtauld Institutes, Vol. 42 (1979), pp. 16-27. (Thanks to Jim Brandon for bringing this work to my attention.) And, as it turns out, the Mantegna Tarocchi represents Saturn in card number 47.

Allegedly, "...'accursed' in Hebrew gives also 47 = 1+20+6+20." The same source connects "Jesus, the innocent Victim" to the same numerical equivalence, 47. Recall that Mitt the Twit suggests to us that 47% "believe they are victims" (Source). (I wonder where these people ever got that notion!) Of course, the connection of Jesus to the idea of being "accursed" comes right out of the Babylonian Talmud where Jesus is said to be boiling in human feces: "...He then went and raised by incantations the sinners of Israel.[(Note)3. [MS.M. Jesus]]  He asked them: Who is in repute in the other world? They replied: Israel. What about joining them? They replied: Seek their welfare, seek not their harm. Whoever touches them touches the apple of his eye. He said: What is your punishment? They replied: With boiling hot excrement, since a Master has said: Whoever mocks at the words of the Sages is punished with boiling hot excrement. ..." (Gittin 57a). Is this "accursed" status remediable? Some Kabbalists say, "Yes!" And in so saying, they wave one of their hands towards the book of Exodus and extend the other, palm up. Exodus 30:11-15: "Atonement Money[:] Then the Lord said to Moses, 'When you take a census of the Israelites to count them, each one must pay the Lord a ransom for his life at the time he is counted. Then no plague will come on them when you number them. Each one who crosses over to those already counted is to give a half shekel,... according to the sanctuary shekel, which weighs twenty gerahs. This half shekel is an offering to the Lord. All who cross over, those twenty years old or more, are to give an offering to the Lord. The rich are not to give more than a half shekel and the poor are not to give less when you make the offering to the Lord to atone for your lives.'"

Chabad Kabbalists opine: "Moses was perplexed by the idea that the soul can be redeemed by a piece of silver. ... Not only is silver of the lowest of the four elements - fire, water, air, and earth (it is usually found deep within the earth), it is the lowest of the low. ... In the case of the half-shekel, opposites can become one...So Moses was shown a coin of fire - not by an angel, but by G-d Himself...A coin given without feeling is cold and unremarkable. But a coin given with the warmth and enthusiasm of the soul's essence can atone for the gravest sin. ... In their spiritual counterparts, silver coins and fire are opposites. Fire, which is constantly moving and soaring upward, expresses the ardent yearning to transcend the limited self and become one with the Divine. In contrast, the silver coin, which is earthly and stable, represents the recognition that one must submit to G-d's will and therefore remain within the physical realm in order to fulfill His plan for Creation."

Anyone want to guess the "atomic number" for silver? It appears that I've already given it away.

Can the souls of the accursed really be redeemed with silver? Now I see! Romney must be genuinely concerned with the condition of the souls of the "47 percent," when he mentions them in conjunction with the "income tax": "Mitt Romney's 47 Percent: Who Does Not Pay Income Taxes?"

In any case, the word "Gematria" is given by Dictionary.com as being the Hebrew word for "geometry": "Hebrew gēmaṭriyā < Greek geōmetría geometry".

This notion of "geometry" is imported into Freemasonry as "sacred geometry" and, wouldn't you know it, has a prominent place for the number 47: "GEOMETRY AND MASONRY: SACRED GEOMETRY ... The address to the Immediate Past Master and the depiction on his jewel refer to the 47Th proposition of Euclid.  It also refers to 'our brother Pythagoras'."

How closely, then, is "Mr. Romney’s '47 percent' fantasy" associated with his Mormon-Masonic ideology? (For more information on Freemasonry and Mormonism, see: Revisionist History #63.) Discussing the significance of the numbers 23 and 33 in his book The Rebirth of Pan (on p. 173), Jim Brandon observed that "A British researcher, John Williams, has studied more than 3,000 standing stones, ley lines, and other landscape features arrayed in complex alignments across the countryside. He observes that '...the angle of 23 1/2[degrees] or its mulitples of 47[degrees], 701/2[degrees], and 94[degrees], occur repeatedly.By the law of averages, this should happen only about 4 times in 180.' But it appears in 60 percent of the cases."

In Rebirth Brandon also gestured towards Robert Anton Wilson's treatment of the number 23 in the book Cosmic Trigger. In his ponderous recital of the various noteworthy occurrences of the number 23, Wilson writes - on pages 45 and 47 no less (of my edition) - that: "...in conception Mom and Dad each contribute 23 chromosomes to the fertilized egg...". If a "normal" human embryo has 46 chromosomes (23 + 23) one might suppose that adding one more, thus obtaining our magic number for the day (47) would yield some sort of an Uebermensch. But, typically, the addition of a chromosome causes trouble. In horribly politically-incorrect language (you know, the sort of language that, we might imagine, a random, nonspecific, conceited Mormon-Masonic elitist might use), we might even say that 47 chromosomes signals an "inferior" being; for example in Down's Syndrome: "Down syndrome (DS) or Down's syndrome, also known as trisomy 21, is a chromosomal condition caused by the presence of all or part of a third copy of chromosome 21. ... Down syndrome is the most common chromosome abnormality in humans....The extra chromosomal material can come about in several distinct ways. A typical human karyotype is designated as 46,XX or 46,XY, indicating 46 chromosomes with an XX arrangement typical of females and 46 chromosomes with an XY arrangement typical of males.[57] In 1–2% of the observed Down syndromes.[58] some of the cells in the body are normal and other cells have trisomy 21, this is called mosaic Down syndrome (46,XX/47,XX,+21) ..."

Apparently, though, this is not always the case. The so-called 47,XYY-Syndrome also known as XYY-Syndrome may not cause the difficulties seen in Down's Syndrome: "XYY syndrome is an aneuploidy (abnormal number) of the sex chromosomes in which a human male receives an extra Y-chromosome, giving a total of 47 chromosomes instead of the more usual 46. This produces a 47,XYY karyotype, which occurs in 1 in 1,000 male births."

In the case of 47,XYY: "This sex chromosome aneuploidy is not characterized by distinct physical features and, because there does not appear to be recognizable pattern of neurodevelopment or behavioral characteristics, the use of the term syndrome may be inappropriate. Males with an extra Y chromosome are phenotypically normal and most never come to medical attention." Nevertheless, one might be forgiven for wondering whether our would-be handlers use "47" as a sort of code for "the other half".

In the I-Ching, Hexagram 47 is described as follows: "47. K'un / Oppression (Exhaustion) above TUI THE JOYOUS, LAKE below K'AN THE ABYSMAL, WATER The lake is above, water below; the lake is empty, dried up. ... When the water has flowed out below, the lake must dry up and become exhausted. That is fate." The dried up lake recalls our 50-odd year record drought Summer. See here and here. Proceeding with the hexagram: "Exhaustion is expressed in yet another way: at the top, a dark line is holding down two light line; below, a light line is hemmed in between two dark ones. The upper trigram belongs to the principle of darkness, the lower to the principle of light. Thus everywhere superior men are oppressed and held in restraint by inferior men. ... The great man brings about good fortune. No blame. ... Times of adversity are the reverse of times of success, but they can lead to success if they; befall the right man. ... No inferior man is capable of this." Maybe underneath his expensive suits, Mitt Romney sports a tee silk-screened with the sentence: "No inferior man is capable of this."

Interestingly, Hexagram 2 appears to be named "K'un" also.  Is it just me (and maybe I've been at this too long), or does that look like an "11"? Of this hexagram, we read: "This hexagram is made up of broken lines only. The broken lines represents the dark, yielding, receptive primal power of yin. The attribute of the hexagram is devotion; its image is the earth. ...It represents nature in contrast to spirit, earth in contrast to heaven..." This description is reminiscent of Chabad's Kabbalistic statement regarding the significance of silver (see above).

"[T]here is a clearly defined hierarchic relationship between the two principles. ... For the Receptive must be activated and led by the Creative; then it is productive of good. Only when it abandons this position and tries to stand as an equal side by side with the Creative, does it become evil.  The result then is opposition to and struggle against the Creative, which is productive of evil to both." NASA's 33-Degree Kline-Konnektion

NASA

NASA (with its somewhat serpentine-looking symbolism) was formed on July 29, 1958.

The "National Aeronautics and Space Administration" came out of a milieu of experimental rocket plane research that had been made possible by the Ordo Templi Orientis occultist, Jack Parsons.

One such project was a supersonic plane called the Bell X-1. It's pictured, below - and colored orange no less. See further on and here, for more orange.

And one earlier player in the transition between U.S. Air Force rocket planes and NASA space rockets was the so-called "father of space medicine," Harry George Armstrong - even though he is said to have retired from the Air Force a year before the creation of NASA.

Of course, the Armstrong name was in the news just a few weeks [25 August 2012] ago when the "Space Legend," Neil Armstrong died. There are some very interesting connections with the Armstrong name, which I partially explored here.

As Jim Brandon directed my attention to the following: "[T]o this day [7 December 2007 - MJB] that Neil Armstrong will not give any interviews to anyone about his astronaut career. He just will not speak about what he saw and did as an astronaut. I suspect that he and many of the other astronauts are burdened with many secrets and that they live in fear of blurting them out" (Richard Sauder interview with Linda Moulton Howe).



Weirdly, the following headline appeared in the Guardian newspaper earlier this year: "Neil Armstrong breaks his silence to give accountants moon exclusive[:] Notoriously reclusive Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong gives video interview to Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia". It turned out to be his last interview granted to, of all groups, "the Certified Practicing Accountants of Australia".

Loren Coleman, at the CopyCatEffect weblog also commented on Armstrong's passing. He noted, here, that the highly symbolic "Apollo 11 Moon Landing" had very strong connections with Freemasonry.

Kleinknecht

For example, Edwin E. "Buzz" Aldrin allegedly took a small Freemasonic flag with him to the moon, which flag was then presented to high-ranking Freemasons at the "House of the Temple" in Washington D.C. See, here.

Above, we see Christian Frederick "Fred" Kleinknecht Jr. (33-degree Mason, whose name is pronounced, I believe, like /klīn-kənnekt/) welcoming astronaut Buzz Aldrin to the Temple.

C. Fred Kleinknecht was a well-Knecht-ed guy. Jim Brandon gives the meaning of "Kleinknecht" as "'little slave' in German" - indeed, "little servant/flunky" in Dutch.

"Klein" can also have the sense of "clean." Pictured, just above, is one of the several alchemical symbols for "purification," or "cleaning." It looks something like a serpent on an arrow or spear - some might say that it looks a bit like a "dollar sign." The arrow/spear is certainly a projectile made to be thrown, and it is a symbol associated closely with Apollo, Athena, Artemis, Hecate, etc. See here.

But the moon-flag event was not just attended by one member of the Kleinknecht family. Apparently, Mr. Kleinknecht Sr. also was in attendance.

The above photograph is supposed to show the actual flag-presentation. From left to right are depicted the  Masonic "Sovereign Grand Commander" Luther A. Smith, Edwin E. Aldrin Sr., C. Fred Kleinknecht, Jr., C. Frederick Kleinknecht, Sr., and Buzz Aldrin himself.

Now an interesting thing about this meeting of Freemasons is that C. Fred Jr. has a brother by the name of Kenneth S. Kleinknecht. On NASA's website, we can read the following biographical sketch: "Kenneth S. Kleinknecht started his career in 1942 at the Lewis Research Center after graduating from Perdue [sic.] University with a B.S. in mechanical engineering. In 1951, Kleinknecht transferred to the Flight Research Center in Edwards, CA. After NASA formed, he then transferred to the Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston in 1959. Before being named the manager of the Mercury project, Kleinknecht was active in the National Air Races, served as supervisor for a number of avionics tests at Lewis, and was the Head of the Project Engineering Station for the X-1E. Additionally, Kleinknecht served as the Advanced Projects Management Officer on the X-15 project and as the Technical Assistant to the Director of the Manned Spacecraft Center. Kenneth Kleinknecht worked on the X-15 with Neil Armstrong at the Dryden Research Facility.

The Dryden facility is where NASA would later develop technology allowing for the piloting of commercial airliners, such as Boeing 720s, via remote control: "In 1984 NASA Dryden Flight Research Center and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) teamed-up in a unique flight experiment called the Controlled Impact Demonstration (CID), to test the impact of a Boeing 720 aircraft using standard fuel with an additive designed to suppress fire. The additive FM-9, a high molecular-weight long chain polymer, when blended with Jet-A fuel had demonstrated the capability to inhibit ignition and flame propagation of the released fuel in simulated impact tests. On the morning of December 1, 1984, a remotely controlled Boeing 720 transport took off from Edwards Air Force Base (Edwards, California), made a left-hand departure and climbed to an altitude of 2300 feet. It then began a descent-to-landing to a specially prepared runway on the east side of Rogers Dry Lake. ... The aircraft was remotely flown by NASA research pilot Fitzhugh (Fitz) Fulton from the NASA Dryden Remotely Controlled Vehicle Facility."

Besides being the manager of the "Mercury" project, Kenneth Kleinknecht was also involved with the Apollo missions. Above, Ken Kleinknecht is pictured dining with Apollo 7 crew members.

The above article indicates that Ken Kleinknecht (33-degree Mason) was the manager for the "Command and Service Modules" for the Apollo program.

Interestingly, the USS Essex was the naval carrier used to "recover" the Apollo 7 crew after the "splashdown" at the conclusion of their mission. Essex had been scheduled to recover the crew of Apollo 1, but never got the chance because they were burned alive at Cape Canaveral. Additionally, "Essex was the main vessel on which future Apollo 11 astronaut Neil Armstrong served during the Korean War." The Wikipedia article goes on to say that the crew of the Essex had been "sworn to secrecy" regarding involvement in President Kennedy's "Bay of Pigs Invasion." (As one can see from the postcard, Cape Canaveral used to be called "Cape Kennedy.")

The name "Essex" itself suggests several intriguing connections. For example, in the UK, "Essex man" apparently apparently designates something very like what in the U.S. might these days be termed a "Neocon" - War Hawk type, etc. And "Essex Girl" seemingly connotes a young woman "characterized as unintelligent, promiscuous and materialistic". This conjunction of "Es-Sexes" reminds me of a remark attributed to the (some consider savant) director Stanley Kubrick who reportedly said: "The great nations have always acted like gangsters, and the small nations like prostitutes." Of course Kubrick directed the movie A Clockwork Orange. (The movie poster has prominent "A"-like fractal features. The NASA logo, of course, has two "A"s. Apollo is said to have had Artemis, the moon-goddess, as a twin sister. Elsewhere, I point out that the name "Artemis" is possible to render as "Arm-strong." The "A" is suggestive of a pyramid.) Moreover, the "2nd Earl of [Essex]" was a "title of Robert Devereux. ?1566--1601" an "English soldier and favourite of Queen Elizabeth I"; he was "executed for treason" (cf. here). Furthermore, the "Essex Skipper" happens to be an orange-colored butterfly. "Skipper" is a nautical term meaning "master" or "captain." More generally, it has come to designate "a captain or leader, as of a team."

C. Fred Kleinknecht, as Masonic "Commander," was something of a skipper too.

Jim Brandon again pointed out that: "Neil A. Armstrong ... received a scholarship from the U. S. Navy to study aeronautical engineering at Purdue University. ... In 1952, Armstrong returned to Purdue University and graduated with a bachelors degree in aeronautical engineering in 1955" (From Linda Moulton Howe: Here).
